Dress for Success SW Florida offers expanded, six-week Entrepreneurial Spirit Program

Barbara Dell, Executive Director of Dress for Success SW Florida, is pleased to announce that following the largest-yet Entrepreneurial Spirit for Women (E$P) Conference over the summer, the organization has expanded the program to a six-week format, with the first series starting October 6. From 6 to 8 p.m. on that Monday night and for the five Mondays following, women who are thinking about starting a one-person business will gain valuable knowledge related to the many different aspects of turning an idea or hobby into a fulfilling, rewarding enterprise. The workshops will be held at the Learning Center at Dress for Success SW Florida, 12995 South Cleveland Ave., Suite 153 in Fort Myers.
The E$P program, like all of Dress for Success SW Florida’s services, honors the nontraditional career path common to many women in our community. E$P provides tailored workshops to employable women who have been seeking work, and decided to take control of their destiny by becoming self-employed or changing careers. Along with the information, resources and tools to get started, each E$P participant walks away with an appreciation for her potential and a sustainable plan for success. Others will also benefit from workshops on social media, managing bank accounts, insurance, taxes, networking ideas and more.
A long-time Dress for Success SW Florida supporter, Central Bank Southwest Florida is the Title Sponsor for the conference. Central Bank Vice President Joanne Show is the program chairperson, and will also serve as one of the experts facilitating the workshops. “We want to provide the motivation to know that a true entrepreneur never gives up,” she said.
Connie Ramos-Williams, CEO of CONRIC PR & Marketing | Publishing, is also a frequent presenter for the E$P workshops. “It’s exciting to watch the program grow, just as it is to see these women develop the skills and confidence to make their dreams happen. I’m looking forward to the expanded format and to share in participants’ achievements.”
