Fathoms drops the ball on the holidays

This holiday season, resolve to start your year off right at Fathoms with a luminous New Year’s Eve party serving up music, toasts and cuisine artfully prepared by French chefs Fabrice Deletrain and Benjamin Voisin. Leading up to the ball drop at beautiful Cape Harbour Marina, develop a new habit for 2017 of helping your neighbors at a special 12 Days for the Holidays collection event to benefit Cape Coral Caring Center.

Reservations are now being accepted for three New Year’s Eve dinner seatings on Saturday, Dec. 31. Chefs Fabrice and Ben will serve up a special menu featuring jumbo Gulf shrimp with lemongrass cocktail sauce and a sumptuous crab salad with avocado, citrus mayonnaise, lavash crisp, micro cilantro and mango salad for starters.

The fireworks officially happen at midnight, but the real star of the evening will be a duo of Wagyu beef short rib and Maine lobster tail served alongside purple Okinawa potato puree, Serrano ham-wrapped asparagus and a truffle demi-glace. Enjoy a special New Year’s Eve coffee bar and music by Soapy Tuna. A complimentary champagne toast will be served with a Norman Love Confection chocolate piece to ring in a brand new year.

Before the official Cape Harbour ball drops, put some motivational inspiration into your new year’s resolutions to increase your community engagement with Fathoms’ 12 Days for the Holidays. Anytime during regular business hours 11:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. now through Saturday, Dec. 17, donate new or gently used clothes for adults, teens, kids and babies, plus nonperishable food, everyday essentials and toys.

Bring multiple items on a Monday, Tuesday, Friday or Saturday during the collection event and earn a ticket to win one of four raffle prizes valued at $500 each – the Booze Wagon, Toy Wagon, Cosmetic Basket or Restaurant Basket. Tickets can also be purchased during those days for $10 each or 4 for $20, with the proceeds also going to the Cape Coral Caring Center.

A closing celebration will take place Saturday, Dec. 17 from 5 – 9 p.m., featuring a live DJ, food and drink specials, an ugly sweater contest, caroling, raffle drawings and more!
