FPRA Southwest Florida Chapter to officially install new officers

The installation of new officers for the 2015-2016 year will be at the top of the agenda of the next luncheon meeting of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Southwest Florida Chapter on Tuesday, September 1 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Florida SouthWestern State College.

The new officers for the organization will be: President Trish Robertson; Immediate Past President Heidi Taulman, APR; President-Elect Jessica Potts; Treasurer Tiffany Whitaker; Secretary Laura Puerto, APR; V.P. of Communications Kate Walter, APR; V.P. of Member Relations Jaimie Duthoy, APR; V.P. of Professional Development Kate Gooderham, APR, CPRC; and V.P. of Community Relations Mike Jackson, APR.

The luncheon will also include a panel discussion recapping this year’s annual FPRA State Conference, which was held August 9-12 in Orlando. Panelists will discuss the highlights and new trends in the PR industry that were talked about at the conference. Conference scholarship recipients will share their experiences from the event where leaders from major corporations, agencies and non-profits imparted their business knowledge to help the attendees do their jobs even better.

The cost for attending the meeting is $25 for members, $30 for non-members and $15 for students. It will take place at Building AA-177 at Florida SouthWestern State College, 8099 College Parkway in Fort Myers (visit www.fsw.edu for campus map). Guests must RSVP online at www.fpraswfl.org.
