Getting to Clarity celebrates official ribbon cutting
On January 19, the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting event to officially welcome Getting to Clarity, LLC to the community. The coaching and consulting business provides inspiration, motivation and education for women so they may realize their potential. Owner Debbie Peterson is a professional speaker, trainer and coach who helps professional midlife women build confidence and get clarity on their “next chapter” in career or life. Her own journey toward purpose inspired the creation of Getting to Clarity as a way to help other women.
Getting to Clarity offers professional speaking, corporate workshops and coaching to groups, companies and organizations to help individuals more fully engage in career and life. As a certified trainer of Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), Peterson deals with the mindset that holds people back from living their potential, giving them valuable strategies to implement immediately. This results in increased engagement, confidence and clarity around the way forward to their next chapter in business and life.
Having worked in a corporate setting for her entire career, Peterson was nagged by the feeling that there was something more she could be doing, but was unsure how to proceed. She began learning about NLP, which teaches that our inner communication (thoughts) creates our external reality. The process of becoming a trainer of NLP proved so transformative that Peterson discovered long-ingrained assumptions about her personality were not true.
Peterson said, “I had always been a behind-the scenes person. I never thought I would be in front of large groups of people speaking, training and coaching, but I love it – it’s what I’m meant to do.”
Since launching Getting to Clarity, Debbie has successfully worked with women at various stages of career and life. Specifically, she has worked with corporations, charitable organizations and women to help them resolve personal internal conflict, break through and break free from personal limitations, identify unexplored possibilities in career and life. She also provides tools and techniques addressing confidence, personal presence and excellence in personal communication for creating success.
She said “I am extremely fortunate to dedicate my career to helping professional midlife women who are unsure of their ‘next chapter’ in career or life get clarity on how to have purpose and passion once again. It’s my way to pay it forward.”
