Jim Henderson of William C. Huff was a speaker at the Solar Public Education press conference

Jim Henderson, owner of William C. Huff, was a speaker at the Solar Public Education press conference on Thursday, January 17, 2019 held at the Botanical Gardens in Naples.
Henderson spoke to local media and attendees about solar energy and his commitment to the energy source and the future of solar in Florida. Henderson’s company warehouse is completely cooled and powered by solar energy and is the largest solar powered building in Collier County.
The press conference, presented by the League of Women Voters Collier County, was held to announce three public solar education meetings slated for January, February and March, and to introduce attendees to the solar co-op program by Solar United Neighbors. The program strives to educate the public about solar energy while making it easier to save money on the purchase of solar panels, while building a community of local solar supporters.
“I don’t think businesses and individuals really realize how much traditional power really hurts the environment,” says Henderson. “Solar is clean and attainable, it’s really up to the community to become better informed and that is what I want to help do.”
