La Colmar Bakery & Bistro to host 1st Annual Oktoberfest Celebration on October 27 & 28

La Colmar Bakery & Bistro will be hosting their First Annual Oktoberfest celebration on Friday and Saturday, October 27 and 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. each day. The bakery and bistro is located at 80 Tamiami Trail North near downtown Naples at the corner of 1st Avenue North and 9th Street (US 41).

Guests will enjoy a complimentary Oktoberfest bottomless stein to be filled with local draft beer from Naples Beach Brewery. A special three course Bavarian dinner will be prepared by co-owner and Chef Yannick Brendel. The authentic menu will include bratwurst, sauerkraut, schnitzel, German potato salad, cabbage, gravy and hand twisted fresh baked pretzels. To top off the meal, Chef Yannick will be preparing a special Black Forest flambé. Plus, guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of Alsatian Riesling. Entertainment will also be provided.

La Colmar is celebrating the diverse cultural history of Yannick‘s home town, Colmar, France. Tucked in France’s Alsace region and less than twenty miles from the German border, the town of Colmar was annexed by the German empire in 1871 and returned to France in 1919. This region incorporates elements from neighboring Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Yannick, baker and co-owner of La Colmar, started working in his family bakery in Colmar at the age of 16. He is a sought after pastry chef and baker who has worked at some of the best establishments in the area.

Prizes will be given for most festive Oktoberfest dressed individual and couple. Other surprises will await those who attend this fun and festive authentic event.
