LCBA’s Fifth Annual Golf Tournament to benefit Alliance for the Arts

The Lee County Bar Association (LCBA) is proud to announce its Fifth Annual Charity Golf Tournament, being held Saturday, June 6 at Pelican Preserve Golf Club in Fort Myers, will benefit Alliance for the Arts’ Youth Scholarships and ArtReach educational programming. The day includes an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, breakfast, lunch, silent and live auctions, and more fun and surprises. Donated silent auction items are still being accepted, and include a dining experience for 12 by Chef Mike Gavala of G3 Catering, with an elegant five-course meal and a $500 basket of wine to accompany each course. The Alliance for the Arts is the county’s local arts nonprofit organization dedicated to infusing the community with arts programming through a diverse, innovative and balanced program of performances, events, community building and educational projects that reaches the widest possible audience. The Alliance’s ARTreach offers people of all ages and economic levels the opportunity to participate in artistic and cultural endeavors and mentorship opportunities, and provides a healthy and safe environment. Engaging the arts is proven to increase self-esteem and enhance quality of life.

LCBA President and arts supporter, Anne Dalton, Esq., said, “The arts are a critical necessity in our society, not a luxury. As Bar President, I feel that helping children acquire arts knowledge and hands-on theatrical experiences is a significant contribution to cultivating the next generation of leaders.”
