Olga Placeres of Preferred Travel of Naples Takes part in Signature Travel Network Owners Conference
Olga Placeres, CFO and Agency Manager of Preferred Travel of Naples, was recently invited to attend a Signature Travel Network Owner’s conference in Turks and Caicos. The meeting brings agency owners together to discuss travel trends, new opportunities, business operations, and philanthropic endeavors.
Preferred Travel of Naples was recognized as a Summit Club member because of their high sales and quality of service. At the meeting, much time and discussion was given to Signature Travel Network’s partnership with ID Travel Foundation to help with disaster relief from hurricane Irma in the Caribbean. The organization has raised $100,000 with the help of contributions from both, Preferred Travel and Signature Travel.
“It was a great honor to be among other travel agency owners and partners,” says Placeres. “We can learn from each other and share ideas. Plus, this year we really focused on how to help our communities recover from Irma.”
The ID Travel Group Foundation for Better Living is an non-profit organization with a mission to assist the quality of life in areas where the ID Travel Group operates, focusing on the Caribbean, and especially on improving educational opportunities. In addition, the Foundation makes funds available to provide short term assistance to residents following natural and human disasters, such as hurricanes and health issues. Through the generosity of many, the ID Travel Foundation was able to donate 42 generators, 1,000 solar lanterns, bedding, first aid kits, non-perishable food items, and toiletries, insect repellant, and senior and infant supplies to areas affected by hurricane Irma.
The foundation is also adopting primary schools in Anguilla and Turks and Caicos that suffered significant damages from the hurricane. Preferred Travel of Naples has helped donate necessary school supplies which will help 650 students affected by the recent disaster.
