Passports Now Available for 8th Annual Sip & Sample – Thursday, November 16

The Friends of Foster Children Forever (FFCF) invites the public to the 8th annual Sip & Sample wine and appetizer event to be held on Thursday, November 16 at The Village Shops on Venetian Bay. The evening begins at 5:30 with check-in and will run until 7:30 pm.

The merchants at the Village Shops on Venetian Bay collaborate each year to raise money to benefit foster children in our community. Attendees are asked to purchase a “Passport” for the annual event which will allow them to travel from shop to shop, and restaurant to restaurant enjoying special offers and free tastings.

The evening will be filled with “holiday” cheer as guests partake and enjoy two hours of sipping and sampling various international wines and appetizers provided by the Village shops and restaurants all festively decorated for the Holiday Season.

Special promotions and raffles will be provided throughout the evening by various merchants, and all revenues raised will benefit the programs provided by FFCF. A holiday tree displaying ornaments with ‘holiday wishes’ from foster children will be on site; each wish will be available to be adopted individually or by a group.

Sip & Sample passports may be purchased online at www.friendsoffosterchildren.net for $40 per person in advance and $50 on the night of the event. Reservations are suggested.

In case of rain, an alternate date has been set for Friday, November 18. The event is being made possible by the generosity of The Village Shops on Venetian Bay.

The FFCF mission is to focus on the children they serve by providing targeted educational and enrichment opportunities that allow each child to fulfill his or her potential. The charitable organization works to fulfill the unmet needs of every child who enters, or is at risk of entering the foster care system in Collier, Hendry and Glades Counties.
