Preferred Travel of Naples presents $26,100 check to The Immokalee Foundation

Preferred Travel of Naples held their annual travel event on February 18 at Club Pelican Bay with over 450 guests in attendance. Preferred Travel selects a non-profit charitable organization to benefit from their travel event each year, and this past event raised $26,100 to benefit The Immokalee Foundation.

A check was presented to The Immokalee Foundation’s Executive Director Noemi Perez by Wilma Boyd, President and CEO of Preferred Travel, and Olga Placeres, CFO and Agency Manager.

“The Dazzling World of Travel” marked the 12th year for Preferred Travel’s annual extravaganza and the 12th year for benefitting local non-profit organizations. This year’s donation brings the combined total amount donated to local non-profits to over $200,000.

“We truly enjoyed ourselves at this year’s showcase,” says Boyd. “ Besides all the exciting travel opportunities, it’s wonderful to be able to support The Immokalee Foundation mission and help them improve education for the Immokalee community.”

The Immokalee Foundation has worked to strengthen the Immokalee community with a focus on education, vocation and life skills. The Foundation offers students the tools, opportunities and support they need to succeed at each level of their education.

Past recipients of the travel showcase event have included: Step By Step Early Childhood Education & Therapy, Boys & Girls Club of Collier County, The Immokalee Foundation, The Shelter for Abused Women & Children, David Lawrence Center, Friends of Foster Children, Youth Haven, Sunshine Kids, and The Founders Fund, Inc.
