This unique event features three miles of challenging and fun obstacle courses designed for all ages and degrees of athleticism. Participants will run, jump, crawl, and climb through obstacles in the mud. This year, the event will feature two adult courses, one for those who would like to be challenged and another for beginners who just want to have fun. There will also be two child-friendly courses – a half-mile course and a one-mile obstacle run.
“Last year we expected a turn out of about 500 runners, and nearly 2,600 people participated in the event,” says Stephanie Ink-Edwards. “After seeing the fantastic show of support and attendance by members of our community, we knew that this was a worthwhile opportunity for us to raise funds for a valuable cause while supporting an active family lifestyle.”
Register today to take advantage of reduced prices. Registration is $45 for adults and $15 for children for the month of November. For the month of December, registration for adults is $50 and children $20. From December 31st until January 5th rates increase to $55 for adults and $25 for children. January 5th is the last day to register for the event.
South Florida Mud Run will be offering reduced registration rates on Monday, December 2nd as part of Cyber Monday for the first 100 people. Enter the code CYPERMONDAY to receive $10 off of the registration fee for this event.

About Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida
All gifts to the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida Capital Campaign support the construction of a new state-of-the-art, 128-bed, comprehensive pediatric health care facility on the grounds of Health Park Medical Center. B. Thomas Golisano, a resident of Naples and noted philanthropist, pledged to match dollar-for-dollar all Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida Capital Campaign contributions up to $20 million.
“This gift comes as my personal commitment to help Lee Memorial Health System build a hospital where all children in Southwest Florida will receive the best possible care close to home,” Mr. Golisano says. ”I hope this gift helps leverage support from others in the region and motivates everyone to contribute in a meaningful way to this endeavor.”
About South Florida Mud Run
Dustin Edwards and Stefanie Ink-Edwards founded the South Florida Mud Run in early 2012. The Mud Run was created as a unique fundraising event that not only would raise money for a worthy cause, but also promote an active lifestyle in a family friendly way. This event will contribute 100 percent of its net proceeds to the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida to help build a new tower for the hospital.
