Save the Date 2nd annual “Sunshine 5K” Run set for April 21, 2018 To benefit Friends of Foster Children Forever
Save the date for the Friends of Foster Children Forever (FFCF) annual ‘Sunshine 5K Run/Walk’ to be held on Saturday, April 21 at the Vineyards Community Park. The park is located at 6231 Arbor Boulevard West in Naples. The race will begin at 7:30 a.m. with registration beginning at 6:00 a.m. The public is invited to take part in this fun, family event.
Cash prizes for top male and female will be awarded in the following categories: Overall Winner, Master, Grand Master, and Senior Grand Master. Plus, plenty of refreshments and snacks will be available after the race.
To register for the Sunshine 5K, please visit www.friendsoffosterchildren.net. Registration fee before March 15 is $25; $30 if registered between March 16 to April 20; and $35 if registered the day of the event. Individuals may also register for a one mile run/walk for $10. There will be no charge for children 13 and younger participating in the mile portion.
The event is designed to bring awareness to the community about the foster care system and is being organized by Gulf Coast Runners. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about FFCF and other agencies that help make a difference in the lives of foster children. Proceeds from the event will provide a continuum of educational support for foster children, from birth to graduation.

The FFCF mission is to focus on the children they serve by providing targeted educational and enrichment opportunities that allow each child to fulfill his or her potential. The charitable organization works to fulfill the unmet needs of every child who enters, or is at risk of entering the foster care system in Collier, Hendry and Glades Counties.
