Manufacturers of the Year are companies of various sizes that elevate the status of the industry as a driver of growth in the economy of Southwest Florida, positions manufacturing as an attractive sector for the region’s future workforce, and demonstrates best practices to serve as a model of efficiency to the SRMA’s membership. A new award at the third annual event was Affiliate of the Year Award, recognizing a non-manufacturer business member of the SRMA that has made great contributions to the organization and the status of manufacturers in the region.

SRMA Executive Director, Cape Coral Mayor Marni Sawicki, said, “Our members make our organization strong, which is a direct reflection of how manufacturing is strengthening the economic stability of Southwest Florida. I’m thrilled to celebrate our outstanding manufacturers and affiliates.”

Upcoming SRMA events include a full schedule of manufacturer facility tours and STEM activities with area schools on October 2. A charity golf event will be held on October 30 at Coral Oaks Golf Course in Cape Coral. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Community Cooperative. For information on these and all other events, including the monthly roundtable discussions, contact Max Dean at max@srma.net.
