The 9th Annual Sip & Sample draws record crowd

The 9th annual Sip & Sample event, benefitting Friends of Foster Children Forever (FFCF) had a record-breaking crowd this year bringing in over 260 attendees. The fall event was held on November 15 at The Village Shops on Venetian Bay and was a collaborative effort with the shops and restaurants. Money raised will benefit the FFCF tutoring and mentoring programs for local foster children in our community.

Besides festive holiday decorations, guests enjoyed wine, appetizers, and shopping specials throughout the evening. From crab cakes and beef wellington to delicious desserts, the night was filled with a variety of reds, whites and champagne to please every palette.

The event was made possible by the generosity of The Village Shops on Venetian Bay. The high-end designer boutiques also participated in the event, offering tasty treats, beverages, and in-store promotions while guest shopped their much-desired merchandise.

The FFCF mission is to focus on the children they serve by providing targeted educational and enrichment opportunities that allow each child to fulfill his or her potential. The charitable organization works to fulfill the unmet needs of every child who enters or, is at risk of entering the foster care system in Collier, Hendry and Glades Counties.
