“Third on Canvas” Benefitted two local charities – Friends of Foster Children Forever and PAWS Assistance Dogs

Two local non-profits, Friends of Foster Children Forever (FFCF) and PAWS Assistance Dogs, were the recipients of this year’s “Third on Canvas” art auction which was held on February 21 at the Naples Beach Hotel.

Each year, artists from across the country paint “en plein air” for this event lining their easels throughout Third Street South and the Old Naples Historic District with the finished paintings auctioned off at the end of the two days of painting. The proceeds from the auction are donated to selected local non-profits.

Guests of the live auction enjoyed wine and hors d’oeuvres while bidding on their favorite one-of-a-kind paintings as auctioneer Sara Rose Bytnar of Scott Robertson Auctioneers conducted a lively auction.

The event is made possible each year by the Third Street South Merchant Association. FFCF and PAWS have worked together for the past several years to help make the event a success.

The FFCF mission is to focus on the children they serve by providing targeted educational and enrichment opportunities that allow each child to fulfill his or her potential. The charitable organization works to fulfill the unmet needs of every child who enters or, is at risk of entering the foster care system in Collier, Hendry and Glades Counties.

PAWS Assistance Dogs provides highly skilled service or assistance dogs to combat wounded Veterans and children with life-changing disabilities.
