Third Street South hosts “Third on Canvas” to benefit Two local charities – Friends of Foster Children Forever and PAWS Assistance Dogs

Two local non-profits, Friends of Foster Children Forever and PAWS Assistance Dogs, will be the recipients of this year’s “Third on Canvas” event.

The popular two-day art event will be held February 11 and 12 and will conclude with a fundraising auction on Thursday, February 15. The art auction will be held from 5 to 8 pm at a private beachside club located in downtown Naples. Guests will enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres, plus, a silent auction and live art auction led by Sara Rose of Scott Robertson Auctioneers.

Each year, talented artists from across the country paint “en plein air” for this event. They will be painting on February 11 and 12 setting up their easels on Third Street South and throughout the Old Naples Historic District.

The carefully chosen artists will paint subjects such as the wonderful buildings, original cottages, fountains, plazas, and courtyards of the Third Street South area including the beaches, The Pier, Crayton Cove and the City Docks. The public is invited to watch the artists create one-of-a-kind pieces of art.

A complete list of artists and their painting locations will be available at the Third Street
South Concierge Booth in Camargo Park, directly opposite Fleischmann Fountain, and online at www.thirdstreetsouth.com.

Tickets to the auction event are $75 per person or $750 for a table of 10. To purchase tickets for the Third on Canvas Art Auction please visit www.friendsoffosterchildren.net or call (239)262-1808. Auction proceeds benefit Friends of Foster Children Forever and PAWS Assistance Dogs.
