Treat Someone to Life; donate blood at Ooh La La Jewels Du Jour’s Boo La La Blood Drive

Ooh La La Jewels Du Jour and the Above Board Chamber are teaming up with NCH Community Blood Center to host the “Boo La La” Halloween Blood Drive on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 11 am to 2 pm at Ooh La La Jewels Du Jour.

The public is invited to give a pint of blood during the Boo La La Halloween weekend event to help boost blood supplies in area hospitals. The Community Blood Center’s bloodmobile will be parked in the Ooh La La parking lot located at 900 Neapolitan Way in Naples, just off of US 41. Successful donors will receive a five dollar gift card from Ooh La La Jewels Du Jour.

The day-long celebration will offer treats, free gifts and raffle drawings. Sisters and co-owners, Amy Turner and Tammy Turner Kipp, have created this fun event to encourage community participation for this worthwhile cause. Jeanne Sweeney, President and Founder of the Above Board Chamber, is encouraging all business owners to support this blood drive and give the gift of life to someone in need.

Every two seconds someone in America needs blood. The Community Blood Center encourages everyone to pay it forward; give blood and save three lives with a single pint. People can donate blood every 56 days and anyone who weighs at least 110 pounds can give blood. Minimum age to donate is 16, with parental consent and there is no upper age maximum to give blood.

People must eat prior to giving blood and should be well hydrated. All donors must supply photo ID at time of donation. Visit for more information. To register for the Boo La La Blood Drive, email
