LEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE TITLE SPONSOR CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER FUNDRAISER, RESCUE RUNWAY

FORT MYERS, FL – September 27, 2019 – The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) is pleased to announce the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) as Title Sponsor for the agency’s inaugural Rescue Runway fundraiser, Saturday, November 9, 11am–2pm, Bell Tower Shops, Ft. Myers.

Sherriff Carmine Marceno is known for his work in the fight against child abuse and animal abuse. To show his support, LCSO has aligned itself with CAC as the Title Sponsor of its Rescue Runway fundraiser. Deputy Chance the Dog will even be one of the judges. “As an official member of the sheriff’s department, Deputy Chance is wagging his tail in excitement to meet the contestants at Rescue Runway,” said an LCSO spokesperson. Deputy Chance is a rescue dog that was found abused and abandoned and has since been deputized.

CAC invites the community to show off your dog; enter them into contests and let them strut their stuff down a real runway at Bell Tower’s center court. Contests for Best Costume, Owner Lookalike, Trick, Kisser and Ugliest; and not to be missed, the Crowning of King & Queen Rescue Royalty. Featuring judges Norman Love, Jenn Galloway of Gulf Coast Humane Society, Marc Collins and Deputy Chance the Dog. Emcee’d by ABC’s Rachel Pierce and Florida Weekly’s Stephanie Davis. Thank you to event co-chairs Cole Peacock and Jessica Walker.
