STARability Foundation will be hosting a special Family Forum on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Naples Therapeutic Riding Center community room located at 206 Ridge Drive in Naples.
The forum will address regional and state-wide housing options and emerging solutions for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Panelists will include leading advocate Sheryl Soukup, Executive Director, Residential Options of Florida; Falon Alo, Executive Director, Noah’s Ark of Central Florida; Libet Romero, Co-Owner/Operator, Home Services of Southwest Florida; and Whitey Ellis, a STARability parent whose son lives in a Protected Harbor group home in Fort Myers. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A and a networking session with light refreshments.
STARability Foundation holds a Family Forum quarterly which features presentations and open discussions. Each forum features different topics involving different areas of community resources, information, and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. The goal of the forums is to explore community resources, issues and pathways to enhance the quality of life.
