SPEAKERS:
Jim Krueger, Comic Book Writer & Filmmaker:
New York Times best-selling author, graduate of Marquette University, an award-winning filmmaker, story/script doctor, copy-writer, video game developer and comic book writer is best known for his epic works and ability to adapt the mythologies/characters of DC, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse and other companies. He’s worked on everything from the X-Men to Batman and Superman to the Avengers, Star Wars, and the Justice League of America. Krueger also launched two new comic book formats, both which were later utilized by DC and Marvel. He is a former Creative Director at Marvel Entertainment Group.
Bob Petterson, Author, Speaker, Storyteller
Throughout his career as a speaker and author, Dr. Bob has carried on the time-honored tradition of storytelling, weaving unique, life-changing and inspirational stories into all of his personal interactions with readers and fellow pilgrims. As East Coast President of Mastermedia International, Dr. Bob consulted with film and TV executives in Hollywood and New York City. Dr. Bob is the author of Desert Crossings, Theater of Angels, Pilgrim Chronicles, Home for Christmas and the about-to-be-released devotional with a twist, The One-Year Book of Amazing Stories, Seeing God’s Hand in Unlikely Places from Tyndale Publishing.
Sonya McNair, Media Strategist Executive, Speaker
Sonya McNair is an accomplished executive corporate and media strategist who counsels Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit organizations, corporate executives, and high-profile clients on the implementation and sustaining of strategic initiatives, operations, and media affairs. She develops business strategies, manages crisis communications, and directs media outreach. Most recently, Sonya worked for CBS News in the capacity of senior vice president of Communications where she advised the chairman and its president on strategic communications and oversaw media and talent relations, as well as public affairs, for the entire news division, including CBS News broadcasts and platforms.
Jerry Root, Author, Speaker, Storyteller
Jerry Root is a graduate of Whittier College and Talbot Graduate School of Theology at Biola University, both located in Southern California. He received his Ph.D. from the Open University. He has written The Surprising Imagination of C.S. Lewis: An Introduction, with Mark Neal and he is the author of C. S. Lewis and a Problem of Evil: An Investigation of a Pervasive Theme, and co-author of The Sacrament of Evangelism, and co-author and co-editor of The Soul of C.S. Lewis: A Meditative Journey through Twenty-six of His Best Loved Writings. Furthermore, he is co-editor, with Wayne Martindale, of the best selling, The Quotable C. S. Lewis. Jerry has contributed to many edited works about C. S. Lewis and has published numerous articles about Lewis, Evangelism, Discipleship, and Spiritual Formation.
He is currently a Professor at Wheaton College and serving as the Director of the Evangelism Initiative as well as being a Faculty/Scholar Practitioner at the Billy Graham Center for Evangelism at Wheaton College.
