Jim Henderson, owner and president of William C. Huff Companies, has been selected to be one of the featured speakers for the 2014 Domestic Estate Management Association (DEMA) Convention to be held September 26 – 28, 2014 at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Hundreds of DEMA members from around the nation are expected to attend.
The Domestic Estate Management Association has become the leader in professional and personal development for the Private Service Community. DEMA’s reach goes well beyond their current membership and is recognized throughout the industry. The 2014 DEMA Convention is designed to advance the professional development and resources of all attendees.
For his knowledge of logistics and the ‘downsizing’ trend of baby-boomers, Henderson has been selected to speak at the convention again this year. He spoke at the 2012 and 2013 conventions and has been listed in the Wall Street Journal as an expert in these fields. His company, William C. Huff Companies, a full-service logistics provider with offices in Naples, Florida and Barrington, New Hampshire, has moved families and estates for over 25 years. His knowledge and expertise will add insight for all attendees.
“I’m excited to have been invited back again this year as a speaker for the DEMA convention,” says Henderson. “This is an amazing organization and they understand what serving the client really means. And last year, so did Forbes Magazine. They covered the convention and wrote a story called Modern-Day Downton Abbey: Inside The Super-Secret World Of Estate Management. And, some of our local Naples Chapter DEMA members were interviewed for the article.”
DEMA was established in 2007 and has quickly become a well-respected resource in the industry. There are approximately 2,500 members in all 50 states with 19 chapters. The organization has had a major impact on the Private Service Industry in a short time. The Naples Chapter was established in 2012.
“Our approach to raising industry standards is unique, we don’t leave anyone out of the communication circle when it comes to managing estates and residences,” said Mike Wright, Vice President and co-founder of DEMA National. “Our goal is simple — to provide continuing education and resources to the Private Service Community. This will ensure more secure careers for our members and more protection and preservation of the estates or residences they manage.”
