Avow’s 16th Annual Butterfly Release

Avow’s 16th Annual Butterfly Release is planned April 2 at Cambier Park in downtown Naples. The butterfly tent with the nearly 1,000 butterflies, later to be released, will make a comeback at the event this year. Children can visit several activity stations, while Avow’s bereavement staff is on hand to assist with anyone who may need extra support.

Registration and children’s activities are from 9 to 11 a.m. A memorial service, with inspirational readings, music and a name-reading ceremony to honor the lives of loved ones is planned from 11 a.m. to noon at the park’s band shell, followed by the butterfly release.

Participants can donate $50 to sponsor a butterfly in tribute to a loved one or can attend for free to watch the beautiful release. Funds from the event support Avow’s hospice and community programs.
