In today’s world, Identity/Cyber Crimes are happening fast and can be used as a weapon to take down governments and businesses worldwide. The Above Board Chamber of Florida is bringing in experts to share ways to protect our businesses and homes from ID Fraud, Internet fraud, Ransomware, and other ways that criminal activity targets us! We will also discuss anti-virus software and how to keep it updated. (Please note that our Lee County meeting is on a Friday for the month of April!)

  • Dave Elias, Chief Political Correspondent NBC 2 News. Dave brings more than two decades of experience to the team, covering nearly every story imaginable in that time. Dave served as an investigator on the West Virginia Media I-Team. He joined a team of five reporters assigned to investigating stories and exposing alleged corruption in the mountain state for WTRF-TV, WOWK-TV, WBOY-TV, WVNS-TV, all part of the network. Dave came to the sunshine state from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he worked in the Wheeling-Steubenville television market for WTRF-TV & FOX Ohio Valley. In 2009 Dave gained national recognition for his reporting by uncovering details that led to two Ohio Police Chiefs being arrested for plotting a break-in at the surrogate mother’s home for famed actress Sarah Jessica Parker. National news agencies later relied on Dave’s reporting throughout the later trial. During his tenure, Dave has interviewed President Barack Obama in Ohio. Dave’s aggressive reporting style has taken him to Washington, D.C., and New York City for investigations. After more than 24 years in the business. Dave has anchored, produced, and served as a bureau chief.

  • Patrick Neale, Patrick Neale & Associates, Patrick is an attorney, civil mediator, and arbitrator who practices law in the areas of foreclosure prevention and defense, bankruptcy, land use, contractor, real estate, zoning, administration. Patric moved to Collier in 1987. Patrick has served on and chaired many local charity boards and is currently on the boards of Avow Hospice, CHEF (Culinary and Hospitality Education Foundation), and the Collier County Bar Association. Patrick has received numerous awards of distinction for his community and professional service. Patrick is an adjunct professor at FGCU. Patrick is a member of the Above Board Chamber of Florida.
  • Kelly Hickok is an Investigator with the Economic Crimes Unit for the State Attorney’s Office of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit. The Economic Crimes Unit is responsible for the prosecution of all financial and elder exploitation crimes throughout the Circuit, as well as serving the community to investigate public corruption & complex fraud schemes. Kelly’s experience expands thirty-one years as a State of Florida Law Enforcement Officer and over half of that career as an instructor & educator. Prior to the State Attorney’s Office, Kelly worked for a Statewide fraud & money laundering task force based in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Kelly continues to instruct at Miami-Dade College, the Southwest Florida Public Service Academy & throughout the community.
