Dr. Chrissann R. Ruehle (Lutgert College of Business) Provost Faculty Fellow for AI/Management Faculty

Dr. Chrissann Ruehle, AI ethics researcher and educator at Florida Gulf Coast University, serves as the Provost Faculty Fellow for AI. She leads the AI Task Force, focusing on AI strategy, digital badges, and education programs. As a Management Faculty member at the Lutgert College of Business, she teaches courses in Organizational Theory and Change, Global Organizational Behavior and Ethics, and Business Strategy. She has also contributed to AI ethics education at Tampa General Hospital and taught in the DBA program at the University of South Florida (USF). Holding a DBA from USF and IBM AI Practitioner-Instructor Certification, she pioneers trustworthy AI certification courses. Her research on AI ethics/governance, chatbots/virtual agents, and AI in higher education has been presented at premier conferences like the Academy of Management, Decision Sciences Institute, and University of Central Florida Teaching & Learning with AI.

Mr. Mark Bole (Daveler & Kauanui School of Entrepreneurship) Instructor

With a career grounded in finance and entrepreneurship, Mark Bole is an FGCU instructor who brings a wealth of practical knowledge to the classroom. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas-Austin and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. His professional journey encompasses roles in financial management within multinational corporations and spearheading entrepreneurial initiatives in Europe and North America. At FGCU’s Institute for Entrepreneurship, his tenure as an educator and former Entrepreneur in Residence is distinguished by his dedication to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of business leaders. Mark’s teaching focuses on demystifying Artificial Intelligence (Al) and its applications in the business world, particularly in courses like Digital Technologies and Entrepreneurial Mindset. His consulting activities primarily involve teaching companies how to initiate their journey with Al, with a particular emphasis on task-level applications. Through these real-life examples, he underscores the practical benefits of Al in enhancing business efficiency and employee productivity. Mark’s educational philosophy is about making Al understandable and applicable, equipping students and professionals with the knowledge and skills to excel in an increasingly technology-oriented business environment.
