Advocate Radiation Oncology has opened its 12th cancer treatment center, establishing a presence inside the home of Southwest Florida Proton in Estero. The new location features state-of-the-art, cutting-edge technology alongside world-class, board-certified physicians. The Estero location offers a new Varian TrueBeam, a linear accelerator that targets and destroys tumor cells in the body using external-beam.

Thanks to the dedication and support of volunteers and staff, the Wonder Gardens reopened Monday, Oct. 14, less than one week after Category 3 Hurricane Milton hit Florida’s west coast. Wonder Gardens’ resident birds and reptiles were moved to safety before the storm, and all were returned to their exhibits after wellness checks and determination.

Beach Club will reopen just in time for the weekend, on Friday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. Margaritaville Beach Resort staff and employees have worked around the clock following Hurricane Helene to remove an estimated two to three million pounds of sand that washed.
