The FGCU women’s volleyball staff has announced the 2015 summer camp schedule. Beginning July 13, 2015 and running through July 27, 2015, head coach Matt Botsford and assistants Kim Maroon and Danny Mahy will host summer camps for athletes of all ages at Alico Arena on the campus of FGCU.

Coach Botsford recently completed his first season at the helm of the FGCU volleyball program. He guided the team to a record of 19-11 with a second-place finish in Atlantic Sun Conference play and saw five players earn All-Conference recognition to set a new program high. Botsford previously served as an assistant coach at Colorado State, Notre Dame, Miami and IUIPI. He is also a former professional volleyball player.

On-campus housing is available for the duration of the camps. Artichoke & Company, a delicatessen and full service catering company located in Naples, Fla. will provide all lunches and dinners during the camps.

Description: Players will be grouped by skill level at which point high repetition training will guide our sessions. Our emphasis is on maintaining a fast paced and challenging environment that will foster skill development and player growth. Coaches will cover all phases of the game and positional specific opportunities will be presented within each session. As the camp progresses there will be a shift from a more technical focus to more “play-based” and situational 6-on-6. Campers must bring their own breakfast foods, lunch and Dinner will be served at Alico Arena in the VIP Room.
