• Dr. Santosh Kagathur (Lee Health Cancer Institute) – Dr. Kagathur is a board-certified medical oncologist at Lee Health, with advanced training in hematology-oncology from Michigan State University’s Karmanos Cancer Institute. Originally from India, he brings a global perspective and deep commitment to patient-centered care, shaped by early experiences serving underserved communities. His clinical leadership is rooted in building long-term relationships with patients and delivering comprehensive, evidence-based cancer care. Dr. Kagathur is passionate about advancing oncology services in Southwest Florida and is proud to serve the Fort Myers and Bonita Springs communities.Sharing the latest updates on breast cancer care during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with a compassionate, evidence-based approach.

• Dr. Sima Morgan (FGCU) – Dr. Sima Morgan (Marzban), MD, PhD, MPH, brings 20+ years of expertise in public health, healthcare leadership, and health professions education. She has held academic and executive roles with SBMU School of Public Health, the University of North Carolina, Universal Health Services, and Miami Graduate Teaching Hospitals. Holding a PhD in Health Administration and an MPH from UNC–Chapel Hill, she is also a graduate of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Leading Quality for Managers program. Dr. Morgan has led hospital performance and quality initiatives, completed 100+ research projects, and published 50+ works. At our October meetings, she’ll share must-know insights on diabetes and weight-loss medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro) and their community impact.
