Curran Young Construction donates $100,000 to Youth Haven’s capital campaign
Curran Young Construction recently donated $100,000 to Youth Haven’s “Building Hope for Tomorrow” capital campaign, a transformative $20 million initiative designed to expand therapeutic, educational and enrichment services for abused, neglected and homeless children and teens across Southwest Florida.
The contribution was presented during the groundbreaking ceremony for Youth Haven’s new two‑story, 22,500‑square‑foot Therapeutic Enrichment Center, held Feb. 26 in Naples, Florida.
“Supporting Youth Haven is an investment in the wellbeing of our community,” said Chris Curran, CEO of Curran Young. “These children deserve safety, stability and a real chance to heal, and Youth Haven delivers that every day. Our donation reflects our belief that strong communities are built by stepping up for worthwhile causes and helping those who need it most.”
Youth Haven’s $20 million capital campaign includes investing in expanded mental health care, education, nutrition, life-skills training, family reunification and enrichment programs. The new Therapeutic Enrichment Center will elevate these services while creating room for future growth.
“Our Building Hope for Tomorrow capital campaign is about strengthening the care and support we provide to every child and teen who relies on Youth Haven,” said Linda Goldfield, CEO of Youth Haven. “The generosity of community partners like Curran Young plays a vital role in moving this vision forward. Their support not only helps bring this project to life, but also ensures we can continue delivering the comprehensive, therapeutic services our youth need to heal, grow and thrive. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and the lasting impact it will have on the children and teens we serve.”
Curran Young also serves as the general contractor for the construction of Youth Haven’s new Therapeutic Enrichment Center. The center will serve as the heart of Youth Haven’s campus, significantly expanding their ability to provide home, hope and healing to youth in need throughout Southwest Florida.
Curran Young’s project manager on the job, Cliff Greer, has a long history of community support in Naples, plus specifically working with Youth Haven. Greer and the Curran Young team provide presentations to the kids at Youth Haven to discuss the project, and they feature career spotlights, focusing on contractors currently working on the site.
“Youth Haven provides a safe place for kids to grow and develop,” Greer said. “No matter where a child is from in the City of Naples or in Collier County, no matter what their background is, from Port Royal to Immokalee, every kid deserves their special place.”
Youth Haven, Collier County’s only emergency and residential shelter for children and teens ages 6 to 21 in crisis, has served the region for more than 50 years. The capital campaign supports major program growth in mental health services, education, nutrition initiatives, family reunification and enrichment activities, which are designed to meet rising community needs and prepare the campus for future expansion.
