Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach to host Jimmy Buffett Day on Sept. 4

For the third consecutive year, Parrot Heads are invited to celebrate the music and legacy of Jimmy Buffett with a laid-back island celebration and charitable service at Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach throughout Labor Day Weekend.

The weekend will kick off on Friday, Sept. 4, with Jimmy Buffett Day of Service. Each year, Margaritaville properties, resorts, restaurants, destinations, hotels and cruises participate in the company-wide day of charitable service from Sept. 4 through Labor Day Weekend to honor Buffett’s legacy and the way he lived his life in the support of others and community. The Fort Myers Beach resort will benefit My Autism Connection (MAC).

MAC, a Fort Myers-based nonprofit organization, provides a supportive community for autistic adults, teachable opportunities to develop skills toward independence, fosters authentic friendships and empowers for acceptance. In early 2025, Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach earned its Autism Double-Checked (ADC) Certification, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive travel, accessibility and neurodiverse-friendly hospitality.

All weekend long, guests can enjoy beachside entertainment, sing-alongs and the carefree atmosphere that makes Margaritaville famous. The party starts on Friday, Sept. 4, with an island-inspired lineup of Trop Rock favorites, beach bands, acoustic performers and DJs at License to Chill Bar & Grill, Fins Up! Beach Club and Lah De Dah Beach Bar & Grill. From Sept. 4-11, guests can visit any restaurant at the Fort Myers Beach resort and purchase an exclusive Jimmy Buffett Day commemorative cup with their choice of the Sunshine State of Mind or Caribbean Heat specialty cocktails. For each drink purchase, $1 will go directly to MAC.

For those interested in making a larger impact, Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach will offer its “Keep the Party Going” lodging package, which offers 20% off a resort stay. In addition, $5 from each night booked will be donated to My Autism Connection, and guests will receive two complimentary special edition Jimmy Buffett cups. “Keep the Party Going” is available through Sept. 26 for stays of two nights or more between Aug. 3 and Sept. 27. Visit MargaritavilleResorts.com/Margaritaville-Beach-Resort-Fort-Myers-Beach/Exclusive-Offers/Keep-the-Party-Going to book a stay or use code “KTPG.”

Parrot Heads can also shop the resort’s selection of limited-edition, themed Jimmy Buffett Day merchandise at the Margaritaville Store, including t-shirts, jackets, hats and accessories.

The annual Jimmy Buffett Day celebration is open to resort guests and the public. To learn more about the weekend’s festivities, visit MargaritavilleResorts.com/Margaritaville-Beach-Resort-Fort-Myers-Beach/Things-to-Do/Calendar-of-Events/JBD-MVFMB.
