MetroLagoons announces Behind the Bottle series
MetroLagoons is raising the bar on cocktail hour with its Behind the Bottle events, a monthly mixology series inviting guests to shake, stir and sip their way through the art of craft cocktails.
In a new partnership with Tampa Bay Mixology, Behind the Bottle will bring hands-on, expert-led mixology experiences to MetroLagoons’ locations across the greater Tampa and Southwest Florida regions. The series will take place September through February with each month spotlighting a different liquor, including:
-September: Patrón Tequila
-October: Bacardí Rum
-November: Grey Goose Vodka
-December: Angel’s Envy Bourbon
-January: St-Germain, Martini Champagne and Bénédictine Liqueurs
-February: Bombay Sapphire Gin
“Behind the Bottle has become a favorite for our guests, and we’re thrilled to continue building on that momentum,” said Scott Tolmach, vice president of food and beverage at MetroLagoons. “This marks the fourth year of our Behind the Bottle series in Tampa, and we’re excited to expand the series to Brightwater Lagoon for the first time this year. We look forward to giving guests an opportunity to learn from talented mixologists, explore new cocktail techniques and enjoy fun, interactive evenings close to home.”
With a passion for creative cocktails and memorable gatherings, expert mixologists from Tampa Bay Mixology will lead guests through each month’s featured spirit, highlighting insider tips and tricks while guiding guests in how to craft the perfect cocktail from start to finish.
“We are so excited to partner with MetroLagoons and bring Behind the Bottle to guests across Tampa and Southwest Florida,” said Emma Nichter, director of operations at Tampa Bay Mixology. “This series is all about getting hands-on with the experts, having fun and really digging into what makes each spirit unique. We can’t wait to help guests sharpen their skills, try something new and fall even more in love with their favorite cocktails.”
During the Behind the Bottle events, guests can also enjoy a specialty menu featuring shareable options, including a pretzel charcuterie board, Mediterranean board and slider flights for $22 each. For dessert, choices include a donut flight, deconstructed s’mores and churro dip flight, each available for $14.
Tickets for each event are $50, and guests must be 21+ and present a valid photo ID for entry. Reservations are required, and space is limited. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and mixology starts at 7 p.m.
