Fall is just around the corner, and Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach offers plenty of opportunities for date night as the nights get cooler and the sun sets earlier.
On Sept. 17, embark on culinary journey through the vineyards and villages of France at JWB Grill’s monthly wine dinner. Inspired by regional French cuisine, A Tour of France will feature a thoughtfully crafted four-course dinner, with each course paired with celebrated wines from Champagne, Loire Valley and Bordeaux. The prix fixe menu includes:
• First Course: Chilled Pea Velouté – mint oil, crème fraîche and baguette bite; matched with Hubert Brochard Sancerre
• Second Course: Butter-Poached Langoustine – fennel purée, saffron emulsion and petit salad; matched with Gosset Grand Réserve, Reims
• Third Course: Chateaubriand – pomme purée, roasted shallot, caulilini and herb butter; matched with Bordeaux Blend
• Finale: Deconstructed Chocolate Napoleon Cake with raspberry glaze; matched with Louis Jadot Pinot Noir, Burgundy
In October, JWB Grill will host A Tour of Spain, the next installation of its wine experience series. On Oct. 15, guests can luxuriate in an immersive dining experience that showcases Spain’s rich winemaking heritage, from the bold reds of Rioja and Ribera del Duero to vibrant whites and sparkling Cava. The four-course menu includes:
• First Course: Pintxo de Pulpo – charred octopus, chorizo, peppers and tomato bread; matched with Poema Brut, Cava
• Second Course: Andalusian Gazpacho – Sungold salsa and grilled croutons; matched with Pazo Cilleiro Albariño, Rías Baixas
• Third Course: Paella de Mariscos a la Parrilla – grilled seafood paella; matched with Marqués de Cáceres Gran Reserva, Rioja
• Finale: Flan de Naranja y Almendra – citrus and toasted almond custard; matched with Manzanilla Sherry
JWB Grill will host its November wine experience on Nov. 19, featuring an array of Pinot Noirs, inviting wine enthusiasts to indulge in a paired dinner experience that transports them to the vineyards of France, California and New Zealand. The wines will include:
• Louis Jadot Pinot Noir, Burgundy, France
• Chalone Estate Pinot Noir, Monterey, California
• Far Niente En Route Pinot Noir, Russian River, California
• Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir, Central Otago, New Zealand
Each wine experience takes place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at JWB Grill, located at 1170 Estero Blvd. on Fort Myers Beach.
