KindLee launches 10,000 Kind Acts Challenge with $10,000 donation from law firm
KindLee’s 10,000 Kind Acts Challenge launched with a generous $10,000 donation from Andrea Smith, co-managing partner at Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice, Purtz, Smith & Smith, on behalf of the firm.
KindLee, a local nonprofit that inspires children and families to engage in acts of kindness that bring about positive change in the lives of others, organized the event to inspire 10,000 acts of kindness throughout our community and help make Southwest Florida a kinder, more connected place. This challenge is built on a simple idea — when individuals, businesses, schools and organizations intentionally spread kindness, the positive impact reaches far beyond a single moment.
“Thank you to Andrea and Goldstein, Buckley for your generous donation of $10,000 to kick off the kindness challenge,” KindLee President Kelly Fayer said. “I know that Southwest Florida is going to reach the goal of 10,000 kind acts because for us, kindness is not random, it’s a way of life.”
KindLee was selected to lead the challenge at the inaugural k20 Kindness Without Borders Summit in May 2026. The event brought together world kindness leaders on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast University to explore how kindness serves as a powerful force for positive change. Leaders at the summit signed a proclamation uniting kindness organizations around the world in support of a shared global mission.
To take part in the challenge, members of the community are being asked to intentionally track good deeds throughout the challenge. Examples may include:
• Supporting local nonprofits with your time, treasure or talents.
• Volunteering in the community either by helping a neighbor or through an organizational effort.
• Recognizing colleagues and team members through small gestures that bring a smile and brighten a day.
• Performing random acts of kindness without revealing yourself.
• Organizing service projects to gather multiple participants to help accomplish this goal.
• Giving back to local schools, families and community organizations.
Each person who performs a kind act or has one done for them is asked to simply post it on social media using #KindLee10K. You can also visit KindLee10k.com to submit your act of kindness.
“Goldstein, Buckley is happy to support this initiative,” Smith said. “We live and work here in Southwest Florida and if we can help to make it a better, more kind community, we are happy to do that.” In addition, to the $10,000 donation, the law firm has committed to taking part in the challenge by accomplishing 1,000 kind acts. All firm employees, family members and clients that may already be involved in regular daily acts of kindness are asked to intentionally track those good deeds throughout the challenge.
The 10,000 Kind Acts Challenge takes place through April 2027.
