All #PeopleWin with Polis campaign supporting racial equity programs

ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 25, 2022) – Polis Institute, a 501c3 nonprofit research and engagement institute which generates economic and racial equity in communities across the U.S., has launched its #PeopleWin with Polis fundraising campaign. Year-end tax-deductible contributions go directly to supporting three key initiatives of strong families, community leadership, and career development programs for African American and Hispanic residents in low-income communities.

“For more than a decade, the Polis Institute has effectively engaged with local leadership, organizations, employers, and institutions of education to build genuine equal access to opportunity in underserved communities,” said Dr. Bahiyyah Maroon, Chief Executive Officer at Polis Institute. “The campaign calls for opportunity, community, and connection through stronger families, career development, education, and community leadership programs. Every member of our board has personally donated to the #PeopleWin campaign and is fully engaged in its success.”

Collaborative efforts of the Polis Institute are not about rescuing those in need, but rather creating viable, lasting solutions to the nation’s most complex inequity issues. By uniting people living in underserved communities to those who have influence, the organization is creating mutually beneficial relationships that improve quality of life for all and help ensure #PeopleWin.

Polis Institute services give people who care about thriving, diverse cities clear paths to build equity, equality, and opportunity. The Polis Institute’s IDEAL method gives philanthropic, government, and business-based changemakers digital tools to tell stories and track impact in ways that uplift, inspire, and inform. As a result, people are thriving, and communities are stronger.

“Our work is transferring knowledge directly into neighborhoods. It ensures that people closest to the issues are engaged and invested in real solutions and sustainable outcomes that form more resilient, flourishing, and equitable communities. Together, we can make sure ALL #PeopleWin,” said Maroon.
