ALTAIR Gun Club to host Open House on April 15, 2017
ALTAIR Gun Club will host an open house on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 10am to 2pm at ALTAIR’s Deep Lake Facility located at 20201 State Road 29 South in Copeland, Florida.
The open house is open to the public and will include demonstrations, firearms safety talks, facility tours, various vendors, food and giveaways. The open house will include demos from Glock, Surf and Turf Custom Archery, a full auto uzi and AR15 experience with UM Tactical.
Guests will have the opportunity to test several models of Glocks; be part of the full auto experience for a nominal fee, and test 9mm integrated suppressed subgun, AR 15 and .308 with R.A.G.E. muzzle break from UM Tactical.
The Lions Club will be part of the day by offering snacks and lunch from their food truck for a nominal donation. The proceeds from the food sales will benefit the Lions Club “Pass It On Fund” for addiction and rehabilitation. In addition, there will be a cookie sale to benefit ‘She Never Quit’ (SNQ), a non-profit organization that benefits and helps widows of Navy Seals.
ALTAIR is pleased to have Joel Hodges, Glock instructor, as the special guest demonstrator for the open house. Hodges has 25 years of experience as a law enforcement officer, command staff and 25 years as a law enforcement instructor. He also has 19 years experience as a SWAT member with eight years as SWAT Commander. Hodges has been a competitive shooter for 30 years and an NRA world record holder in PPC combat. He also was one of the Governors 20 top law enforcement shooters in Florida for eight years, Presidents 100 top Law Enforcement shooters in the USA IPSC shooter, and holds multiple state championships in IDPA competitive shooting.
Sports enthusiast, shooters and those wanting to explore firearms or archery training are encouraged to attend to learn more about the facility, the facility’s rich history and about the many classes ALTAIR offers.
