Amy McQuagge joins Guardian ad Litem Foundation’s board of directors

Marketing professional Amy McQuagge has joined the board of directors for the Guardian ad Litem Foundation, 20th Judicial Circuit.

As a board member, McQuagge is responsible for program oversight, fundraising, event coordination and public awareness campaigns for the Guardian ad Litem Foundation, which has a mission of ensuring that every abused, neglected or abandoned youth in Southwest Florida has a voice as they navigate the judicial, education and child welfare systems. The foundation recruits, trains and provides support for court-appointed volunteer child advocates who represent the best interests of a child until a safe, permanent placement is established. The nonprofit also raises funds that help meet a child’s health, educational and social needs.

“In addition to setting policy and providing guidance, board members also serve as messengers to help the community understand our mission and impact on the lives of children we represent,” said Jessica Stanfield, executive director of the foundation. “Amy is a top-level communicator with a passion for helping the youth of our community, so we’re excited to welcome her as an advocate and ambassador for our organization.”

McQuagge is vice president and director of marketing for Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, where she provides direction, guidance and leadership in the bank’s marketing and community outreach efforts. She also has served as senior marketing and event manager for the Lee County Economic Development Office, owner of a full-service fundraising company and media buyer for several advertising firms. McQuagge’s volunteer service includes appointments as a board member, resource development chair and Love That Dress! event chair for Pace Center for Girls, Lee. She also has served on the Uncommon Friends Foundation’s board of directors.

McQuagge earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Florida Southern College. She is a lifelong Lee County resident and Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) through the American Bankers Association.
