KDIM Entertainment is pleased to present legendary 80s rock band Asia featuring John Payne with special guest Steve Walsh, former lead singer of Kansas, at the Seminole Casino Hotel in Immokalee, FL on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets for this exciting event, which is part of KDIM’s popular Classic Rock Series, are on sale now and going fast.
Asia featuring John Payne has been performing such classic hits as: Heat of the Moment, Only Time Will Tell and Time Again for a decade, and now they bring those favorites and many more to the intimate setting of the Seminole Casino Hotel for a great night of music.
Joining in on all the excitement is Kansas’s former lead singer Steve Walsh, who performed with the band for 41 years. Concert-goers will hear such iconic Kansas hits as: Carry on Wayward Son, Dust in the Wind, Point of Know Return and All I Wanted.
Payne became the frontman of supergroup Asia in 1992 at the invitation of keyboardist Geoff Downes, replacing vocalist/bassist John Wetton. Asia toured internationally for the next 14 years performing new classics and old favorites. With Payne fronting the band, Asia released eight stunning studio albums and several live recordings. In 2006, Payne split with Asia but continued to tour with another group of musicians in what is currently known as Asia featuring John Payne.
Walsh was a member of Kansas for 41 years, starting as their original lead singer back in 1976. During Walsh’s time with the band, Kansas recorded two enormously successful albums, 1976’s Leftoverture and 1977’s Point of No Return. With Kansas, Walsh released 12 studio albums, six live albums and numerous singles. He has released three solo albums as well.
