Avow Announces Nursing Scholarship Program funded by the 2022 Nurses Week campaign

Avow has created a new Avow Nursing Scholarship Program designed to assist employees who are advancing their education in the field of nursing. Examples include a degree program leading to a licensed practical nurse (LPN), registered nurse (RN) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license and/or an associates, bachelors, masters and doctorate in nursing. This new scholarship program is possible thanks to the donors that supported the Avow Foundation 2022 Nurses Week campaign.

“We are pleased to be able to help our employees advance in their careers, while also working to improve retention and the expertise of our staff,” said Jaysen Roa. “Our goal is to provide this additional education support beyond the existing Avow tuition reimbursement program.”

This week Avow awarded its first scholarship. Ashley Russetto, an APRN with Avow, was awarded a scholarship to attain her doctorate in nursing.

Avow also offers clinical and non-clinical staff a generous tuition reimbursement program to employees who have spent a year or longer with the company. The non-profit will reimburse educational tuition, up to the IRS maximum allowed, $5,250 each year.

During National Nurses Week May 6-12, the Avow Foundation asked donors to consider supporting a scholarship for nurses. The weeklong celebration highlighted long-time staff members on Facebook and provided a drive-through breakfast and goodie bags and gifts for nurses.
