Better Together, Carmel Friendship Church to host community job fair May 28 in Wesley Chapel

Better Together, a nonprofit on a mission to build strong families and communities, is partnering with Carmel Friendship Church in Wesley Chapel to host a community job fair on Thursday, May 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Registration is now open for job seekers and employers to participate in the May event. With a spirit of hope and celebration, the church-based job fairs empower job seekers by connecting them with local employers who are ready to hire, while offering supportive services that foster meaningful connections and increase opportunities for lasting employment. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to participants to review resumes, and additional services will be available onsite.

The May 28 job fair will take place at Carmel Friendship Church, located at 30081 Wells Road in Wesley Chapel. Job seekers and employers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/CarmelFriendship or by texting “JOBS” to 844-987-3949.

With job openings available across various industries, participating employers include Florida Department of Corrections – Hernando Correctional Institution, Kane’s Furniture, Publix, Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA and more.

Local resource partners will also join Better Together in offering various onsite services, including CareerSource Tampa Bay, Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties, Inc., Florida Department of Corrections, Hope Services, St. Petersburg College and more.

The community job fairs are part of Better Together’s “Better Jobs” program, which has helped more than 50,000 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 25 states.
