Bonita Springs Community Fund Donates $62,000 to three local nonprofits
Donation provide essential resources for the community
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (March 10, 2026)-The Bonita Springs Community Fund (BSCF) donated $62,000 between three Bonita Springs nonprofits. It donated $25,000 to Literacy Council Gulf Coast (LCGC), $25,000 to The Florida Lions Eye Clinic (FLEC) and $12,000 to the Bonita Springs Wonder Gardens (WG).
The board determined that these nonprofits share a common mission: providing education and care to the Bonita Springs community. The organizations listed below are recipients of these funds.
• The Literacy Council Gulf Coast offers free English literacy classes to adults and children in Southwest Florida.
• The Florida Lions Eye Clinic provides complementary eye care and treatments to those who lack medical insurance, who’s income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.
• The Bonita Springs Wonder Gardens mission is to rescue and non-releasable animals. It offers conservation and educational programs.
“We’re pleased to support these organizations that uplift Southwest Florida,” said Joseph Murgalo, president of the BSCF. “By supporting these organizations, we can build a healthier and more educated community.”
