Bonita Springs Elementary students select a piece of jewelry to gift for Mother’s Day
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (May 4, 2026)- In celebration of Mother’s Day, Bonita Springs Elementary School students selected costume jewelry to gift their loved ones for Mother’s Day. The drive is hosted annually by TLC Marketing & Creative Services (TLC), a local marketing agency in Bonita Springs.
TLC received over 5,000 pieces of costume jewelry from the Southwest Florida community as well as an out of state donation from Pennsylvania. The donated jewelry was sorted and then brought to Bonita Springs Elementary school where over 450 students selected pieces.
“We’re so thankful to everyone who supported our mission this year,” said Trish Leonard, founder of TLC. “A piece of jewelry that was hiding away in a box now takes on a new life and will bring joy to these students and their families.”
Bonita Springs Elementary School is a Title I School under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), which supports reforms and innovations to improve educational opportunities for economically disadvantaged students.
“These students deal with a variety struggles at home,” said Estella Sandoval, volunteer coordinator at Bonita Springs Elementary School. “The opportunity to pick out something special gives them so much confidence and pride.”
