Bonita Springs Nonprofit Relaunches Free Moms & Tots Program
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (Feb. 13, 2026) — As demand grows for accessible literacy education, Literacy Council Gulf Coast (LCGC) has relaunched its free Moms & Tots Literacy program ahead of its March fundraiser, Brunch & Bubbles, which helps sustain programs offered at no cost to families.
The program helps caregivers strengthen literacy and language skills while preparing preschool-age children for success in school, allowing them to learn together and develop early reading and communication skills in a supportive environment.
The program runs Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to noon and is part of the nonprofit’s broader effort to expand access to education across Southwest Florida. Students of LCGC programs, in partnership with Meals of Hope, have access to an on-site baby food pantry, helping address barriers that can impact learning.
“Every day, families in our community work hard to provide for their loved ones. But many face a barrier most of us take for granted, the ability to read,” said Executive Director Leah Mason. “When children grow up with books in their hands and role models who encourage them, their stories are filled with possibility.”
To keep programs like Moms & Tots free to the public, LCGC will host its annual fundraising event, Brunch & Bubbles, at noon Sunday, March 1, at Spanish Wells Golf & Country Club. The event will highlight the organization’s literacy initiatives while recognizing tutors and students who contribute to its impact. Tickets are $175.
Sponsorship opportunities remain available for the event. For more information, email Leah@literacygulfcoast.org or call 239-676-5202.
