Bonita Springs YMCA appoints two new board members
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — (Dec. 18, 2025) The Bonita Springs YMCA is proud to announce the appointment of two community and business leaders to its Board of Directors: Taylor Sawatzky of Owens Aimes Kimball Construction, and Tara Gillespie of Lake Michigan Credit Union. Their diverse expertise, commitment to community service and passion for strengthening families will play a vital role in advancing the mission of the Y.
“We are honored to welcome Taylor and Tara to our board,” Chris Sapp said, vice president of operations. “They bring unique leadership experience and a deep understanding of the values that guide our work. Their perspectives will enrich our strategic vision and expand our ability to serve children, families and individuals across Bonita Springs and Lee County.”
Sawatzky, representing Owens Aimes Kimball Construction, contributes years of operational and project leadership. His experience will be valuable as the YMCA continues to improve and expand its facilities to meet the growing needs of the community.
Gillespie, from Lake Michigan Credit Union, adds financial expertise and a strong commitment to community partnerships. Her leadership will strengthen the Y’s efforts to foster accessible, financially sustainable programs.
