Boys & Girls Club announces 2021 Paragon Award winners

The Boys & Girls Club of Collier County honored its top partners, supporters and volunteers through the 2021 Paragon Awards, a program that recognizes excellence and impact on youth.

Presented Oct. 18 during the Great Futures Grand Slam Luncheon, Boys & Girls Club President and CEO Megan McCarthy Beauvais honored seven individuals, companies and organizations with Paragon Awards.

“Many nonprofits have struggled to keep pace with demand during the pandemic, but the Boys & Girls Club’s ongoing success is proof that no challenge is too big to overcome if you have support from the community,” Beauvais said. “The Boys & Girls Club has steadily built momentum in recent years and added programs that are helping better prepare members for the future.”

The 2021 Paragon Award winners include:

• Volunteer Award: John Iannuzzi
• Education Ambassador Award: Naples Children & Education Foundation
• Community Partner Award: Yamron Jewelers
• Champion Award: Windstar Club Charitable Foundation
• Business Partner Award: Boston Beer Garden
• New Business Partner Award: Main Course Hospitality

The Great Futures Grand Slam Luncheon was a baseball-themed fundraising event held at Baker Field on the club’s Nichols Campus in Naples. Proceeds from the event provide scholarships that allow student members to participate in after-school and summer programs. The Grand Slam Luncheon also kicked off the club’s annual Great Futures Start Here fundraising campaign.
