Cape Harbour Marina serves up art, music and fun in April
Southwest Florida can look forward to an entertaining and tasty month in April, with Fathoms Restaurant & Bar and The French Press hosting dozens of events at the vibrant Cape Harbour Marina.
On Friday, April 3 a Fathoms full moon party finds inspiration in the land of the rising sun from 6 to 10 p.m. Enjoy drinks and a delicious dinner with an Asian flair and sway to the rhythm of The Jungle Boys, a local group of talented, hard-working musicians. A $50 prize will be given to one employee and one customer for the best Asian-inspired attire. Dress to impress!
Then from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 5 enjoy a luxurious Easter Brunch buffet, featuring Fathom’s famous tropical tuna appetizer, a smoked salmon platter, omelet station, pecan-banana cream cheese French toast, lobster bisque, herb roasted pork tenderloin, leg of lamb with mint sauce, salad bar, pastries and desserts, and many more delectable dishes for $39 per adult, and $10.95 for children ages six to 12. The kids will enjoy a romp in the bouncy castle, an egg hunt and a special visit from the Easter bunny. Reservations are recommended by calling (239) 542-0123.
Other highlights include another in the popular monthly series, an Evening at The French Press, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 18. Enjoy live soft music, view original works by the featured artist, children’s book author and illustrator Mickie Timmons, discover some delicious wine and sample the chef’s selection of hors d’oeuvres. Space is limited, and reservations are required by calling (239) 542-0212 or emailing info@thefrenchpressfl.com. Registration before April 11 is $12, and includes two glasses of wine per person. After April 11, registration is $15.
On Thursday, April 23 The French Press presents a jewelry and gemology class from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Silversmith and jewelry designer Beverly Fox, a managing member of the neighboring Harbour View Gallery, will teach attendees how to identify gem stones and properly care for their jewelry. Registration is required by calling (239) 542-0212 or emailing info@thefrenchpressfl.com. The $15 fee includes handouts, coffee and the chef’s selection of handmade pastries.
Even Fido deserves a night out. The monthly Yappy Hour happens Saturday, April 25 from 6 to 8 p.m to support the Gulf Coast Humane Society, with a DJ setting the party mood from 6 to 9 p.m.
Monday, April 27 belongs to the guys at Fathoms, with Texas hold ‘em registration at 6 p.m., shuffle up and deal at 7:30. The $50 cost includes a complete steak dinner and complimentary poker play for prizes. RSVP by Sunday, April 26, and receive an extra 2,000 in chips by calling (239) 542-0123.
