Celebrate National Family Literacy Day with Literacy Council Gulf Coast
BONITA SPRINGS, FL — October 3, 2025 — The Literacy Council Gulf Coast invites families, friends, and neighbors to come together for a day of fun, learning, and community connection at the National Family Literacy Day Celebration on Saturday, November 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 26820 Old 41 Rd., Bonita Springs, FL.
This year’s theme, “One Community, One Story,” highlights the power of stories to connect generations, strengthen families, and build brighter futures. The event will feature food, games, giveaways, and community resources—all in one place. Guests are also invited to enjoy the excitement of the Bike Rodeo, where participating students must bring their student ID, bike, and safety gear.
Dr. Leah Mason, Executive Director of Literacy Council Gulf Coast was proud to announce “This year, we celebrate under the theme ‘One Community, One Story.’ By coming out on November 1, you will be able to connect with many community resources all in one spot. Literacy is not just about reading—it’s about connection, opportunity, and hope.”
National Family Literacy Day is a reminder that literacy changes lives. By attending, community members are helping write a shared story of learning, growth, and possibility for Southwest Florida.
