Curran Young Construction marks groundbreaking for Youth Haven’s new Therapeutic Enrichment Center

Curran Young Construction celebrated the official groundbreaking on Feb. 26 of Youth Haven’s new Therapeutic Enrichment Center in Naples, Florida. The center, a transformative two‑story, 22,500‑square‑foot community hub, will significantly expand Youth Haven’s ability to provide home, hope and healing to abused and neglected children and teens in Southwest Florida.

The event marks a major milestone in Youth Haven’s Building Hope for Tomorrow capital campaign. As part of the groundbreaking event, Curran Young Construction presented Youth Haven with a donation for $100,000 toward Youth Haven’s capital campaign. Construction of the new center is underway with completion expected in January 2027.

“This groundbreaking represents more than the start of a project,” said Chris Curran, chief executive officer of Curran Young Construction. “It’s the beginning of a new chapter for vulnerable children and teens who deserve safety, stability and support. We are honored to help Youth Haven bring this vision to life.”

Designed to be the heart of Youth Haven’s therapeutic campus, the center will include dedicated spaces for dining, therapy and recreation, as well as a STEAM lab, art studio, family visit center, yoga and meditation studio, and additional areas for education, enrichment and holistic care.

“We are deeply grateful to Curran Young Construction for their partnership and shared commitment to our mission,” said Linda Goldfield, CEO of Youth Haven. “The Therapeutic Enrichment Center represents a transformative investment in the children and teens we serve. With Curran Young’s expertise and dedication, we are building more than a structure; we are creating a safe, inspiring environment where healing happens, families reconnect and young lives are empowered with hope for the future.”

Youth Haven’s $20 million capital campaign is investing in expanded mental health care, education, nutrition, lifeskills training, family reunification and enrichment programs. The new Therapeutic Enrichment Center will elevate these services while creating room for future growth.

“This building was designed with purpose,” said Bruce Young, president of Curran Young. “Every square foot supports learning, growth and well‑being. Our team takes tremendous pride in creating a space that will have a lasting impact on countless young lives.”

Youth Haven has been a beacon of hope for children and teens in crisis for more than 50 years, offering programs and services that provide home, hope, and healing. The Therapeutic Enrichment Center will further that mission by delivering innovative spaces that support holistic care and development.
