Dress for Success SW Florida awarded $2.5K from Daniel and Barbara Melvin

Board member supports local nonprofit that assists women to find employment

FORT MYERS, Fla. – January 22, 2018. Dress for Success SW Florida has been presented with a $2,500 check from Board of Directors member Barbara Melvin and her husband Daniel Melvin to be used for programming and services to support its mission to assist women with finding meaningful employment. The donation was from proceeds of “Party with a Purpose 4,” a fundraiser hosted by the Melvins.

The benefit was held at the Hilton Naples in Naples, Florida. Dinner, a cash bar, auctions and more were a part of the evening. A special treat was the entertainment was provided by Daniel Melvin’s Most Romantic Voice Productions. Over 150 people attended this event which was rescheduled due to Hurricane Irma.

Barbara Dell, CEO of Dress for Success SW Florida, said, “We are so blessed to have community leaders such as Barbara serve on our Board as a dedicated team member for several years as well as honor us with this generous donation. We can do great things for the women in our community because of people like Barbara and Daniel.”

This is the second time Dress for Success was chosen to receive a financial award from Daniel and Barbara Melvin. Previously, the nonprofit received $3000.
