Dress for Success SW Florida to Hold Largest-Yet Entrepreneurial Program for Women

Barbara Dell, Executive Director of Dress for Success SW Florida, is pleased to announce The Entrepreneurial Spirit for Women Conference & Networking. Approximately 80 women are expected to attend the day-long program, which will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 13th at the Holiday Inn Airport – Town Center, 9931 Interstate Commerce Drive, Fort Myers. It is open to the public, with a $10 charge to include panel discussions, in-depth presentations by prominent businesswomen, lunch, power hour & pampering, networking and more.
In 2013 Dress for Success SW Florida started the Entrepreneurial Spirit Program (E$P), a series of workshops, mentoring and networking for women who want to start their own business. The all-day conference on June 13th promises will be the largest E$P yet.
A long-time Dress for Success SW Florida supporter, Central Bank Southwest Florida is the Title Sponsor for the conference. Joanne Show, Central Bank Vice President, will also present “The Start-up of U,” offering important information on the essential steps of starting a business.
“Central Bank ‘gets it’ when it comes to empowering women along their entrepreneurial path,” said Dell. “Because of their support, we are able to offer the tools and confidence needed for success to more and more women.”
Gail Markham, Founding Partner and President of Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company, has been slated as the keynote speaker. She will draw from her own personal history to explore “The Journey from Start-up to Success.” Other prominent speakers include Connie Ramos-Williams, CEO and President of CONRIC PR & Marketing, who will address “What to Include in Your New Business Marketing Plan.” Two panel discussions are planned, the first navigating law, accounting, insurance and IT, with the second panel composed of a diverse group of women in the world of small business.
The program will also introduce the launch of the “Entrepreneurial Circle of Support,” a mentoring partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University’s Small Business Development Center and a referral partnership with Goodwill’s Micro-Enterprise. As a follow-up to the E$P conference, attendees will be able to continue to receive ongoing mentoring opportunities and workshops provided by Dress for Success SW Florida and the “Entrepreneurial Circle of Support”.
The conference is open to women interested in starting a small business or for those who have a small business. Seating is limited and attendees are encouraged to register early. Please contact Charisse at 239-689-4992 or charisse@dfsswflorida.org, or visit www.DressForSuccess.org/swflorida for tickets. Vendors can reserve a table for $50.
