Randy Mitchelson, APR, of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) recently earned professional public relations accreditation, and received the designation of Accredited in Public Relations (APR).
Mitchelson joins the more than 4,300 active public relations professionals worldwide who represent an elite group of highly skilled professionals committed to practicing with exemplary ethical standards, including 34 in southwest Florida.
Mitchelson is an entrepreneur, author and community activist with more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and financial services. He provides Internet and print marketing expertise to business clients through iPartnerMedia, Inc., including website design, strategic lead generation and public relations campaigns, social media and search engine optimization. Mitchelson’s community leadership roles include being co-founder of the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership Inc. and past president of Seminole County board of directors for Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in business administration from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
To earn accreditation, candidates must pass an oral presentation and rigorous written examination administered by the Universal Accreditation Board (UAB), which is an alliance of eight national and statewide professional associations dedicated to furthering the field of public relations and the development of public relations professionals. FPRA is a member of the UAB.
