Local Nonprofit Seeks Community Support to Help Over 4,700 Individuals with special needs and veterans per year
NAPLES, Fla. – January 30, 2024 – Freedom Waters Foundation is hosting its 10th Annual Kind Mariners Ball, on February 22, 2024, at the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club. The event will help the organization raise funds to help area children with special needs and veterans, by providing therapeutic boat outings which the organization has been doing since 2006.
Highlights of the Kind Mariners Ball will be:
• Chairs: Shelly Russo and Pam Karll
• Featured entertainment: NUCLASSICA, an electric-pop orchestra, from Detroit and as seen on America’s Got Talent – www.nuclassica.com
• Keynote Speakers – Participants of the organization
• Well Dunn Recipients – First Sergeant David Ramos and his wife, Linda for being outstanding Volunteers
• Live and Silent Auctions – featuring unique boating opportunities
• Surprise cocktail hour entertainment
• Incredible people
• And a whole lot of fun!
• Décor done by volunteer creator Shelly Russo, Co-Chair of the Event
With only three full-time, and two part-time employees, over 300 volunteers, together provided over 4700 on the water experiences in 2023.
For 18 years, Freedom Waters Foundation has provided therapeutic boat experiences for children and adults with special needs and veterans at no cost to them or their families. Each complimentary boating opportunity costs approximately $125 per participant. If the Freedom Waters Foundation reaches its goal, approximately 4,700 individuals can experience the healing benefits of being on the water.
